Verifying your identity

Every user namely Land Steward and Sponsor, will be subject to an identity verification check before being eligible to enter into any agreement with TLG and/or one another. The identity verification is performed through ComplyCube. (https://www.complycube.com/en/).

The users will be required to upload ID documents (i.e. passports, national identity cards) followed by a biometric check to verify the person presenting the identity document is the same individual. It performs a comprehensive analysis leveraging biometric and behavioral vectors to give a high level of assurance. See more information about the process below.

  1. Click on “Start Verification” in your account settings, where you will be redirected to ComplyCube’s website.

  1. Please grant us consent to process your biometric data and verify your identity by checking the block and clicking on “Get Started”.

  1. Once you have clicked on “Get Started” you will be shown the below:

Please have your identification documents such as your ID or passport including national, international, diplomatic, ePassports, and Passport Cards, as well as proof of residence, nearby to complete the process. ComplyCube also supports Visas, Health Cards, Tax Identification Cards, Voter Cards, Refugee Cards, and many other paper-based documents. Click on “Start Landler Verification” and scan the QR code.

  1. Once you have been redirected to ComplyCube’s Website, you will have to do the following:

  • Scan the front and back of your ID or passport

  • Take a selfie 🙂

  • Upload or take a picture of your proof of residence

If the Land Steward(s) is/are represented by a sponsoring third party, the third party can proceed to bulk verification by either:

  1. Sending TLG the email addresses of their Land Steward(s) who will each get a link from Comply Cube where they will have to upload their ID document (i.e. national ID card or passport) and a proof of residence (i.e. bill, etc.), followed by a biometric check to verify the person presenting the identity document is the same individual.

  2. Sending a list with the first name and last name of all the Land Stewards. The 3rd party will receive an email from Comply Cube to upload the ID documents of each Land Steward.

  3. Sending TLG the ID documents of the Land Stewards and TLG will do the KYC check for you. Ideally, the documents have to be photographed in high definition.

If the options above are not available, TLG will require a power of attorney or any other document that acts as a written authorization that allows the sponsoring third party to act in another's best interests to enter a Nature Equity Assets Purchase Agreement to sell the land stewards' Natural Capital Units.
