Uploading plots
A plot typically corresponds with a field. A plot (field) is managed as a single parcel of land with respect to application of cover crops, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation, tillage, residue management and frequency of n-fixing crop use. A plot should have a history of being managed as a single parcel of land since the last land management change.
There should be no significant change in soil profile across a plot (field). A plot can be used to grow one or more crops, either together (e.g. permaculture or intercropping) or in separate parts of the plot (e.g. half of a field is used to grow one crop, and the other half of the field is used to grow a different crop). A plot can contain biodiversity zones (e.g. set aside land), but this land should not be counted as part of two separate plots.
On your Landler account, select the “Add plot” option either in the middle of your dashboard or on the top right corner.

You can either draw your plots or upload your geospatial files. Please see the respective methods below.

3.1. Uploading Your Geospatial Files
The plot(s) can be uploaded as a KML file or a ZIP file containing shape files (SHP-format) by dragging and dropping or selecting them via your desktop.

Once you have uploaded the geospatial files, select “import plots” on the bottom right corner of your screen.
Once you have imported your files, they will be automatically added to your account. If any of the plot(s) contains any formatting errors, please “select” the plot and edit the boundaries until the error message is removed from the screen.
Once the changes have been completed, select “Confirm plot changes” on the bottom right corner of your screen.
3.2 Drawing Your Plot
Draw the boundaries of your plot(s) by clicking and dragging your cursor. You can finalize the drawing by reconnecting back to the first dot.

Once you have confirmed your plot(s), you can then edit the plot details such as change the name of your plots. You can select up to three crop types that you are farming on your land. This information is optional but note that it will help refine the results of the carbon indicators on your dashboard.
Once the plot(s) have been drawn or uploaded, you will be able to trigger the analysis of those plots by selecting “analyse project” on the top right-hand corner of the project page.

Please note that the results of the analysis will take a few minutes to reflect on your dashboard.
